INVESTMENT OF US$650 IN RENEWABLE ENERGY

The French multinational Engie will invest some US$650 million in the development of renewable energy projects in Chile.The firm sent an essential fact to the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) in which it communicates its participation in two projects to contribute to the generation of clean energy in the South American country.The first is a contract with the Goldwind group for the purchase of the wind turbines needed to build the Lomas de Taltal Wind Farm, in the northern region of Antofagasta. The park will consist of 57 wind turbines with an individual capacity of 6 MW, and Engie's investment is close to US$450 million.The other project, with a budget of about US$200 million, is the acquisition of a lithium battery energy storage system for the Coya Solar Plant, also in the Antofagasta region and owned by Engie Chile.#LinkedInNoticias #chile #energiaslimpias
